Bots
The Blackwater Bots started in 2015 as the first FIRST robotics team at Alden Central Schools. We compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge competition every year. In 2017 we won the Connect award at the Finger Lakes Qualifier. At states in Utica NY, our team was a finalist for the Motivate award. Other awards achieved by us is in the "Awards" page.
The Blackwater Bots are looking for motivated students in 9th-12th grade who would like to partake in this year's season. Commitment includes 1-4 tournaments and 2-3 meetings a week during the season (September-January). You do not have to be experienced with robotics to be a part of our team! We are looking for students interested in art, web design, CAD, programming, 3D Printing, engineering, technology, math, science, or marketing.
